Vehicles equipped with the Sport Suspension from the factory have firmer, shorter springs resulting in a lowered vehicle stance, along with shock absorbers that have been valved to yield firmer dampening. Arnott part AS-2824 is a completely remanufactured OE air strut for the rear left side of the 2009-2015 BMW 7 Series (F01, F02, F04 Chassis) with EDC (Electronic Damper Control), VDC (Variable Damper Control) and the FlexRay communications protocol. Each OE BMW strut is painstakingly tested for FlexRay functionality and then disassembled before reused components are steam cleaned and spin blasted to bare metal. The shock portion of the strut is recharged with new high performance shock oil and worn internal shock components such as the piston, rod guides and seal pack are replaced. The damper and damping coil are dyno and functionally tested to assure OE performance and OE parts are repainted with corrosion inhibiting paint.
